Building on more than 10 years of progress on land governance in the Mekong Region

DISCOVER THE MEKONG LAND INITIATIVE

Land governance across the Mekong has been reshaped by shifting political systems, investment, and climate change, and communities are losing land as a result. The Mekong Region Land Governance (MRLG) project helped open windows for reform, strengthening laws that recognise customary tenure rights. MLI is building on this legacy by addressing the enforcement gap.

Solutions grounded in local realities, for regional learning

WHERE WE WORK

MLI works through diverse Alliances in each country, which ensures lessons come from those closest to the land. Our regional approach means lessons travel across borders, so progress in one country can strengthen practice in another.
